Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging is accepting bids from qualified firms to lease a number of Personal Emergency Response Units with a minimum of 200 (combined) up to a maximum of 600 (combined). The Personal Emergency Response Units will be located in senior citizen homes throughout Grand Traverse County for a period of three (3) years for the calendar years of 2018 – 2020 beginning January 1, 2018.

AARP Smart Driver Course

The Commission on Aging is pleased to announce that we will again be hosting the AARP Smart Driver Course in 2017.

You could be eligible for an auto insurance discount, for driver's 55 years and older.  Consult your insurance agent.  Take the 2-day, 8-hour classroom refresher designed for mature drivers.  Coffee is provided and you are welcome to bring lunch and/or refreshments to class.  A microwave and refrigerator are available for your use.  Advance registration is required.

Fees are collected on the first day of the course, by the instructor
